Was born in
Missouri in 1929 of a Native American mother and a
Russian father. And they produced a devout nature lover
who shares his love of the great outdoors, Its
wildlife and his native American culture through his
paintbrush and canvas. He is self taught and has been
drawing and painting in many different mediums for over
fifty years. He is an associate member in "Oil
Painters of American", and also was one of the
original members of the Northwest Artist. Richard was
accepted to exhibit in the National Wildlife Show of 1979,
featuring 265 of the world finest wildlife artist. He
also was awarded the First Runner Up in Missouris
first duck stamp competition. In 1983, A major show held
at the Corpus Christy Art Museum, Richards painting
" On the Run " won Best of Show. The same
painting won Best of Show in the wildlife category.
Another painting Jettys End ", won Best of
