| Juanell Skidmore (who is also
sometimes known by her first name "Joan") retired in
1995 after 32 1/2 years as a public school teacher . She is
married to to Gerald Skidmore, and they have five children, all
of whom are married. She is interested in almost everything, but
especially in the visual and performing arts, history,
geography, and literature.
Her hobbies include: working NY Times crossword
puzzles with Skid (her husband), doing things with their 14
grandchildren, reading mysteries, listening to music (especially
classical and jazz), playing on the computer, creating works of
art, and, of course, the Killeen Civic Art Guild, which she
joined in 1995.
She enjoys people. She loves all her
"old" friends, but also enjoys making new ones.
